I May Have Just Photographed the Cutest Clients Ever… (And They Didn’t Even Cry 😂🦆)

I may have just brought the cutest little clients into the studio… and they didn’t even cry!

My three tiny, fluffy new little loves. Like… how are they even real?! Soft yellow fuzz, tiny orange beaks, and the sweetest little waddles you’ve ever seen — I’m officially obsessed.

Introducing the newest members of my family. Literally. I’m a duck mom now and there’s no shame here 😂
I didn’t have “photographing ducklings” on my bingo list for 2026, but I am not complaining one bit. I’ve wanted to add ducks to our family for years and we finally made it happen… and let me tell you — these babies are already SO loved.

And yes… they were absolute naturals in front of the camera. No tears, no fuss, just fluff and cuteness overload.

Why Duckling Photos Are Pure Magic

There’s something about photographing baby animals — especially ducklings — that just hits different. The softness, the curiosity, the way they huddle together… it creates the most heart-melting, storytelling images.

As a newborn and baby photographer, I’m always chasing those natural, emotional moments — and honestly? These little ducks delivered.

A Few Duckling Care Tips (From a New Duck Mom 🦆)

Since I’m officially in my duck era now, here are a few quick things I’ve already learned (and am loving):

  • Ducklings need warmth — a heat lamp is essential for their first few weeks

  • They LOVE water, but need safe, shallow access at first

  • Expect a little mess… okay, a LOT 😂

  • They’re social and happiest together, not alone

  • And most importantly… they grow FAST, so soak up every tiny moment

Between their tiny peeps and their wobbly little steps, I’m pretty sure they just became my favorite “clients” ever.
